Cal. Code Regs. tit. 11, § 992.1 – Posting or Safekeeping of Permit.

(a) The check casher permit for a specific fixed location shall be conspicuously posted in the place of business authorized by the permit.
(b) The mobile check casher permit for a mobile unit shall be kept with the California DMV registration in the vehicle.
