1. (a) All productions that are issued a tax credit certificate, Form SM (August 12, 2022), hereby incorporated by reference, shall be required to comply with the following provisions:

   1. (1) Provide an on-screen acknowledgement to THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, THE CALIFORNIA FILM COMMISSION, and THE CALIFORNIA SOUNDSTAGE FILMING TAX CREDIT PROGRAM, and include the California Film Commission Logo, to be provided by the CFC to the applicant, except where that acknowledgement may be prohibited by the Children's Television Act or any other local, state, or federal government policy.

      1. (A) Such acknowledgement and logo shall appear on every episode of a television series except where prohibited as specified in paragraph (1) above.
      2. (B) The applicant may choose the wording of the acknowledgement and the placement of the required entities within that wording, but all three entities specified in paragraph (1) above must be named.
      3. (C) The requirements of this paragraph shall apply to any project issued a CAL under the California Soundstage Filming Tax Credit Program on or after August 18, 2023.
   2. (2) Provide five (5) production stills in digital file format cleared by the production company and with cast approvals to illustrate the diversity of California locations and/or job creation for promotional use by the CFC.

5. Amendment of subsection (a)(1) and new subsections (a)(1)(A)-(C) filed 8-18-2023 as an emergency; operative 8-18-2023 (Register 2023, No. 33). A Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 2-14-2024 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.

6. Certificate of Compliance as to 8-18-2023 order transmitted to OAL 12-26-2023 and filed 2-8-2024 (Register 2024, No. 6).

7. Repealer of subsection (a)(1)(A), subsection relettering and new subsection (a)(1)(C) filed 6-12-2024; operative 6-12-2024 pursuant to Government Code section 11343.4(b)(3) (Register 2024, No. 24).
