1. (a) Ten months for pregnancy, childbirth or miscarriage; or when the waiting period is expressed in terms of the inception of the pregnancy, 30 days after the effective date of the policy or rider; or
2. (b) Six months for hernia; disorder of the reproductive organs; tuberculosis; cancer; tumors; varicose veins; adenoids; appendix; tonsils; gallbladder; rectum; thyroid gland, and diseases of the heart; and
3. (c) Twelve months for organ transplant, cosmetic surgery or dental insurance.

A sickness benefit shall be deemed not sufficient to be of real economic value to a covered person if one or more coverages become effective more than 30 days after the effective date of the policy or rider or is subject to a waiting period greater than:
