1. (a) A credit union shall maintain its books and records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and good business practice, except as otherwise provided in the California Credit Union Law, in this Subchapter, in any other applicable law, or by order of the Commissioner.
2. (b) A credit union shall keep its books on an accrual basis of accounting or other basis of accounting as permitted by the Commissioner.
