A. The authority is governed by a board of directors consisting of the following members who must reside in the county in which the authority is established:

1. 1. Five members appointed by the governor pursuant to section 38-211. No more than three of these members may be from the same political party. Of these members, the governor shall appoint:

   1. (a) One member from the tourism industry in the authority.
   2. (b) One member from the hotel and motel industry located in the authority.
   3. (c) One member representing a youth sports organization in the authority.
   4. (d) One member representing a major league baseball spring training organization in the authority.
2. 2. Two members who are appointed by the president of the senate and who are not of the same political party.
3. 3. Two members who are appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives and who are not of the same political party.
