Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 16-228
A. The governing body shall publish a notice of election at least twice in a newspaper of general circulation in the election district in which a nonpartisan election is being held not less than one week apart during the six calendar weeks preceding twenty days before the election. If there is not a newspaper of general circulation in the election district, the governing body shall post the call of election on the governing body's public website and at other locations at which the governing body customarily posts public notice of the governing body's public meetings.
