- A. As required under A.R.S. § 32-2042, a licensed physical therapist shall use the designation “PT” immediately following the licensee’s name or signature to denote licensure. A licensed physical therapist shall not use the designations “RPT” or “LPT” in connection with the physical therapist’s name or place of business.
- B. As required under A.R.S. § 32-2042, a physical therapist assistant shall use the designation “PTA” immediately following the physical therapist assistant’s name to denote licensure.
- C. In addition to and immediately following the designation specified in subsection (A) or (B), as applicable, a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant may list academic degrees earned and professional specialty certifications held.
- D. As required under A.R.S. § 32-2042, a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant who is on retired status shall use “(retired)” or “(ret.)” immediately after the designation required under subsection (A) or (C), as applicable.
