1. A. Except as provided in subsection (B), a certified veterinary technician may perform the tasks delegated by a licensed veterinarian while under the direction, supervision, and control of the licensed veterinarian.

2. B. A certified veterinary technician shall not:

   1. 1. Perform surgery,
   2. 2. Diagnose,
   3. 3. Prescribe a medication, or
   4. 4. Provide a prognosis.
