(a)
- (1) Parents or guardians shall be kept informed concerning the progress of their child.
- (2) The evaluation of each student’s performance on a regular basis serves to give the parents or guardians, students, and the school necessary information to help effect academic improvement.

- (1) If the progress of a student is unsatisfactory in a subject, the teacher shall attempt to schedule a parent or guardian and teacher conference.
- (2) Parents or guardians may request conferences with teachers.
- (c) Parent or guardian and teacher conferences shall be held as scheduled on the school calendar.
- (d) Teachers shall utilize conferences as an opportunity to explain the reasons for difficulties and will develop, cooperatively with the parents, a plan for remediation to help the student succeed.
