(a)
- (1) If the resource home has been closed and requests the Division of Children and Family Services to reopen the home, the FSW Resource Worker will arrange and hold a staffing within three (3) business days of the administrative hearing to determine on a case-by-case basis if the local staff believe it is appropriate to pursue reopening the resource home.
- (2) If local staff believe it is appropriate to pursue reopening the resource home, collaborate with other local staff, as appropriate, to write a request to the Resource Family Review Committee to consider reopening the resource home and submit the request to the committee.
- (3) If local staff believe it is not appropriate to pursue reopening the resource home, inform the family of the decision.
(4) The following staff shall participate in this staffing:
- (A)
(i) Resource Worker Supervisor.
(ii) The Resource Worker Supervisor will update the Area Director regarding the decision if the Area Director did not participate in the staffing;
- (B) FSW Investigator;
- (C) FSW Caseworker; and
- (D) Area Director or designee on a case-by-case basis and upon request.
(b) The committee will:
- (1) Review the request from the FSW Resource Worker and determine if it is appropriate to reopen the home and, if so, under what conditions (examples include, but are not limited to, once additional training has been completed or with certain restrictions on characteristics of children that can be placed in the home); and
- (2) Notify the FSW Resource Worker who submitted the request of the committee’s decision in writing within one (1) business day.
