(a) If the child maltreatment allegation is unsubstantiated, the FSW Resource Worker will:
- (1) Collaborate with the FSW Investigator and the child’s or children’s FSW Caseworker to write a request to the Resource Family Review Committee regarding how to proceed with the resource home;
(2)
- (A) Submit a request to the committee within one (1) week of the determination.
- (B) The request will include the FSW Resource Worker’s recommendation regarding:
(i) Ending the corrective action plan for the resource home, if applicable;
(ii) The placement arrangements for the child or children (such as returning any children who may have been removed from the resource home as a result of the allegation);
(iii) Whether the resource home will be left on unavailable status or be returned to available status; and
- (iv) Whether any other actions are required;
(3)
- (A) Participate in the committee meeting upon request.
- (B) Phone participation in the committee meeting is acceptable; and
- (4) Update the status of the resource home in the Division of Children and Family Services’ information management system as needed as well as in the contacts screen as necessary.
(b) The Resource Worker Supervisor will:
- (1) Conference with the FSW Resource Worker as needed;
(2)
- (A) Participate in the committee meeting upon request.
- (B) Phone participation in the committee meeting is acceptable; and
(3) Update the Area Director as needed.
- (c) The FSW Investigator will:
- (1) Collaborate with the FSW Resource Worker and the child’s or children’s FSW Caseworker to write a request to the committee regarding how to proceed with the resource home; and
(2)
- (A) Participate in the committee meeting upon request.
(B) Phone participation in the committee meeting is acceptable.
- (d) The FSW Caseworker for the child or children will:
- (1) Collaborate with the FSW Resource Worker and the FSW Investigator to write a request to the committee regarding how to proceed with the resource home;
(2)
- (A) Participate in the committee meeting upon request.
- (B) Phone participation in the committee meeting is acceptable; and
- (3) Update the child’s or children’s strength and needs assessment following the implementation of the committee’s decision.
(e) The FSW Supervisor or Supervisors will:
- (1) Conference with the FSW Investigator and FSW Caseworker as needed; and
(2)
- (A) Participate in the committee meeting upon request.
- (B) Phone participation in the committee meeting is acceptable.
(f)
- (1) The Area Director or designee will participate in the committee meeting upon request.
- (2) Phone participation in the committee meeting is acceptable.
(g) The committee will:
(1) Review the request from the FSW Resource Worker and determine the appropriate action or actions that may include, but are not limited to:
- (A) Ending the corrective action plan for the resource home, if applicable;
- (B) Revising the placement arrangements for the child or children (examples include, but are not limited to, returning any children who may have been removed from the resource home as a result of the allegation);
- (C) Determining whether the resource home will be left on unavailable status or be returned to available status; and
- (D) Determining whether any other actions are required;
- (2) Notify the FSW Resource Worker who submitted the request of the committee’s decision in writing within one (1) business day; and
- (3) Document the recommendation in the provider screen in the division’s information management system.
