1. (a)

   1. (1) All staff should participate in recruitment efforts.

   2. (2) While the following is not a comprehensive list, staff will:

      1. (A) Actively seek out relatives and fictive kin as emergency placement options for every child entering foster care;
      2. (B) Actively coordinate with professional organizations and minority groups to create public interest;
      3. (C) Contact community organizations and media to inform them about Division of Children and Family Services needs and successes;
      4. (D) Encourage resource parents to:

2. (i) Make one-to-one contacts with other individuals who may be interested or have expressed interest in becoming a resource home; and

   1. (ii) Schedule speaking engagements with community groups in order to share information about fostering; and

      1. (E) Conduct information meetings.
3. (b) The Area Director or designee will conduct an annual assessment of current resource homes and identify the need for additional resource homes.
