The Child Abuse Hotline worker will:
- (1) Receive and document prenatal substance exposure referrals from healthcare providers involved in the delivery and care of infants with sufficiently identifying information as defined by Arkansas law;
- (2) Conduct a history check on all reports unless calls waiting to be answered by the hotline have been waiting for fifteen (15) minutes or longer;
- (3) If the report qualifies as a prenatal substance exposure referral, select “Refer to DCFS for Assessment” from the request for Division of Children and Family Services assessment screen; and
- (4) Inform the caller if the report does not constitute a prenatal substance exposure referral.
