- (a) The facility shall ensure that each child receives education in accordance with the Department of Education.
(b) The facility shall:
- (1) Teach each child the daily living tasks required as a part of living in a group setting; and
- (2) Assign only light chores that are age-appropriate.
(c) The agency shall:
- (1) Have a policy regarding each child’s money received; and
- (2) Ensure that each child’s funds are available to that child, under staff supervision, for personal use.
(d) The facility shall not allow a child’s outside employment, chores, or extracurricular activities to interfere with the child’s time for:
- (1) School;
- (2) Sleep;
- (3) Family visits; or
- (4) Case plan activities.
(e) The facility shall provide each child with adequate and nutritious food, routinely eaten in the:
- (1) Home;
- (2) Cottage; or
- (3) Unit.
- (f) The facility shall ensure that each child has sufficient sleep for their age and physical condition.
- (g) The facility shall instruct each child in good grooming and personal hygiene habits.
- (h) The facility shall ensure that each child is provided with their own clothing that is clean, well-fitting, seasonal, and appropriate to age and gender, unless otherwise directed by a physician.
- (i) The facility shall ensure that each child in its care is provided with opportunities for regular recreational activities and exercise.
- (j) The facility shall provide activities and equipment that are age-appropriate to the children in its care.
(k) The facility shall monitor and time-limit the use of:
- (1) Television;
- (2) Videos;
- (3) Computer games; and
- (4) Other screen time.
