- (a) If the agency is providing casework services to either birth parent, an intake shall be completed within thirty (30) days to identify services needed.
(b) Counseling for both parents, if applicable, shall be offered, and shall include the following:
- (1) Information, rights, options, and obligations regarding the adoption process; and
- (2) Issues related to grief and loss.
(c)
(1) Financial assistance to the birth mother may only be provided:
- (A) During the time of the pregnancy; and
- (B) After the pregnancy during the time the birth mother requires inpatient or outpatient postpartum care.
- (2) This does not apply to future social services provided by an agency that offers a broader range of services other than adoptions.
(d)
- (1) All financial assistance to the birth mother shall be documented, including the amount and purpose of payment.
- (2) This documentation shall be maintained in the individual file of the birth mother.
