- (a) Each foster parent shall complete at least twenty-four (24) hours of skill-based training annually, excluding CPR and first aid.
(b) Documentation verifying annual training shall indicate the:
- (1) Date;
- (2) Number of hours;
- (3) Name of the source;
- (4) Topic; and
- (5) Title.
(c)
- (1) Each foster parent shall maintain a current certificate of successful completion of hands-on, skill-based CPR and first aid.
- (2) Training and certification that is provided solely online will not be accepted.
- (d) All foster parents shall receive at least ten (10) hours of sexual rehabilitative training annually, which may be included in the required twenty-four (24) hours of annual training.
- (e) Foster parents shall comply with the roles and responsibilities of the placement agreement developed by the placement agency.
(f) Foster parents shall not engage in the:
- (1) Use of illegal substances;
- (2) Abuse of alcohol by consuming excessive amounts; or
(3) Abuse of legal prescription drugs or nonprescription drugs by:
- (A) Consuming them in excessive amounts; or
- (B) Using them contrary to as prescribed or indicated.
- (g) Foster parents shall adhere to the placement agency’s reasonable and prudent parent standard.
