(a) If legal action is pending at the time the applicant requests closure, the Office of Child Support Enforcement may either:

1. (1) Dismiss all action without prejudice; or
2. (2) Substitute the applicant as plaintiff or moving party and withdraw.

(b)

1. (1) The attorney will notify the parties of the office’s actions and where the case stands in the legal process.
2. (2) The case will be closed as soon as practicable.
