(a)

1. (1) Child support debt information may be reported to consumer reporting agencies (Credit Bureau).

2. (2) To be reported, the amount owed:

   1. (A) Must exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000); and
   2. (B) May not include instant debt amounts entered as judgments at the time the court issues a support order, so long as regular payments have been made as ordered by the court.

(b)

1. (1) The Office of Child Support Enforcement must send the noncustodial parent a notice by regular mail to his or her last known address prior to the disclosure of information to a consumer reporting agency.

2. (2) The notice must inform the noncustodial parent of:

   1. (A) The amount of overdue support to be released;
   2. (B) The procedures for contesting the accuracy of the information; and
   3. (C) A statement that if he or she fails to contest the disclosure within seven (7) calendar days of the mailing date on the notice, the information will be released.
