(a)
- (1) If requested by the Administrator of the Office of Child Support Enforcement, the consumer reporting agency must provide a copy of a credit report if the report is needed to establish an individual’s ability to pay child support or to determine the appropriate level of payments.
- (2) The reports are kept confidential and used for that purpose only.
(3) The report may not be used for any:
- (A) Civil, administrative, or criminal proceeding; or
- (B) Purpose other than determining the ability to pay or the appropriate amount of child support payments.
- (b) The office must notify the noncustodial parent in writing, by certified mail, ten (10) calendar days prior to requesting a consumer report.
