Projects eligible for grant assistance include:

1. (1) Solid waste management planning that integrates waste reduction and landfill diversion;

2. (2) Public information and education programs that:

   1. (A) Encourage waste reduction and recycling; and
   2. (B) Stimulate demand for products produced from recycled materials;
3. (3) Waste and waste transfer facilities and equipment that integrate waste diversion and recycling into their operations;

4. (4) Activities that support material recovery facilities (recycling centers) including, but not limited to:

   1. (A) Facility costs;
   2. (B) Equipment costs; and
   3. (C) Logistical systems;
5. (5) Recycling and waste diversion activities associated with illegal dump abatement programs;
6. (6) Other waste stream reduction activities that divert the flow of materials away from landfills to be put to beneficial use; and
7. (7) Costs related to the daily administrative functions of the White River Regional Solid Waste Management District operation as directed by the Board of Directors of the White River Regional Solid Waste Management District.
