(a) The State Board of Election Commissioners is statutorily charged with funding elections designated by law as state-funded using funds appropriated to the State Board of Election Commissioners for election expenses of:

1. (1) The State Board of Election Commissioners; and
2. (2) A county board of election commissioners.

(b)

1. (1) State-funded elections include:

   1. (A) Preferential primary elections;
   2. (B) General primary elections;
   3. (C) Special primary elections;
   4. (D) Nonpartisan general elections; and
   5. (E) Statewide special elections.
