7 CAR § 3-118 – Campaign cash expenditures

(a) Except as noted in subsection (c) of this section, no campaign expenditure in excess of fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be made in cash.
(b) All expenditures on behalf of a campaign activity, in excess of fifty dollars ($50.00), shall be made by a written instrument containing the name of the payee.
(c)
1. (1) The payment of filing fees may be in cash even though the amount exceeds fifty dollars ($50.00).
2. (2) The candidate shall:
  1. (A) Obtain a receipt for the payment; and
  2. (B) Report it as either a loan or contribution to the campaign and also as a campaign expenditure.
