The Osteopathic Rural Medical Practice Student Loan and Scholarship Program Administrator shall:

1. (1) Be employed by the Division of Higher Education;

2. (2) Serve as liaison between loan recipients and rural communities by:

   1. (A) Working with the communities to:

      1. (i) Identify their unique needs;
      2. (ii) Develop profiles of their ideal candidates; and
      3. (iii) Prepare for recruitment visits;

   2. (B) Assisting medical students and residents to:

      1. (i) Identify medically underserved and other rural communities that suit their personal and medical practice needs; and
      2. (ii) Meet their contractual obligations;

3. (3) Collect and monitor student loan and scholarship program data, including:

   1. (A) Demographic data of participants and communities;
   2. (B) Service completion rates;
   3. (C) Retention rates beyond service completion;
   4. (D) Satisfaction of obligated physicians and communities; and
   5. (E) Other relevant information;
4. (4) Prepare annual program evaluations and present the evaluations to the Osteopathic Rural Medical Practice Student Loan and Scholarship Board;
5. (5) Assist with preparation and submission of program reports;
6. (6) Attend board meetings in a nonvoting capacity; and
7. (7) Perform other functions assigned by the board.
