1. (a)

   1. (1) A Type 2 lap belt/shoulder harness seat belt shall be:

      1. (A) Provided for the driver; and
      2. (B) Of a high visibility fluorescent color.
   2. (2) The assembly shall be equipped with an emergency locking retractor (ELR) for the continuous belt system.
   3. (3) The lap portion of the belt shall be guided or anchored where practical to prevent the driver from sliding under it.

2. (b)

   1. (1) The driver’s seat supplied by the body company shall be a six-way adjustable high back seat with a minimum seat back adjustable to fifteen degrees (15˚), without requiring the use of tools, and head restraint to accommodate a ninety-fifth percentile adult male, as defined in FMVSS 208.

   2. (2) The driver’s seat shall be secured with:

      1. (A) Nuts;
      2. (B) Bolts and washers; or
      3. (C) Flanged-head nuts.
