1. (a) Fire extinguisher.

   1. (1)

      1. (A) The bus shall be equipped with at least two (2) pressurized, dry chemical fire extinguishers, complete with hose to meet Underwriters' Laboratories Inc. approval.
      2. (B) Extinguishers must be mounted in a bracket, one (1) located in the driver’s compartment and one (1) located on the left side of the rear emergency door exit, readily accessible to the driver and passengers.
      3. (C) A pressure gauge shall be:

2. (i) Mounted on the extinguisher; and

   1. (ii) Easily read without moving the extinguisher from its mounting position.

      1. (D) The extinguisher shall be refillable.

   2. (2)

      1. (A) The fire extinguisher shall be of a type approved by Underwriters' Laboratories Inc. with a total rating of 2A1OBC (five pounds (5 lbs.) each) or greater.
      2. (B) The operating mechanism shall be sealed with a type of seal which will not interfere with the use of the fire extinguisher.

3. (b) First-aid kits.

   1. (1)

      1. (A) The bus shall have a removable, moisture-proof and dust-proof first-aid kit mounted in an accessible place within the driver's compartment.
      2. (B) This place shall be marked to indicate its location.

   2. (2) Minimum contents shall include:

      1. (A) Three-fourth inches by three inches (3/4" x 3") bandage with Telfa pad;
      2. (B) Three-inch bandage compress with Telfa;
      3. (C) Two-inch bandage compress with Telfa;
      4. (D) Three inches by three inches (3" x 3") gauze compress;
      5. (E) Thirty-six inches by thirty-six inches (36" x 36") gauze compress;
      6. (F) Forty-inch triangular bandage, nonsterile;
      7. (G) Gauze bandage, two inches by six yards (2" x 6 yds.);
      8. (H) Eye pads, adhesive strips;
      9. (I) Adhesive tape, one inch by two and one-half yards (1" x 2 1/2 yds.); and

      10. (J) Four-inch blunt scissors.

          1. (c) Body fluid clean-up kit.
   3. (1) Each bus shall have a removable and moisture-proof body fluid clean-up kit.

   4. (2) It shall be properly mounted and identified as a body fluid clean-up kit.

      1. (d) Warning devices. Each school bus shall:
   5. (1) Contain at least three (3) reflective triangle road warning devices; and
   6. (2) Meet the requirements in FMVSS 125.
