(a) Chassis shall be equipped with the following instruments and gauges (lights in lieu of gauges are not acceptable except as noted):

1. (1) Speedometer;
2. (2) Odometer which will give accrued mileage (six (6) digits with trip odometer) including tenths of miles;

3. (3)

   1. (A) Voltmeter.
   2. (B) An ammeter with graduated charge and discharge, with the ammeter and its wiring compatible with generating capacities, is permitted in lieu of voltmeter;
4. (4) Oil-pressure gauge;
5. (5) Water temperature gauge;
6. (6) Fuel gauge;
7. (7) Upper beam headlight indicator;

8. (8)

   1. (A) Brake indicator gauge (air).
   2. (B) A light indicator in lieu of gauge is permitted on a vehicle equipped with a hydraulic-over-hydraulic brake system;
9. (9) Turn signal indicator; and
10. (10) Glow-plug indicator light where appropriate.
