- (a) For submission of documentation for annual desk audits, the Division of Career and Technical Education will make available an online reporting tool for electronic reporting.
- (b) Federal monitoring oversight staff recommend tiered monitoring vs. cycle monitoring.
(c) To best support districts and ensure federal requirements are being met, levels of tiered support include:
- (1) Tier 1. Annual desk audit completed with upload of documentation into the division electronic reporting system demonstrating federal Perkins requirements are being met;
(2) Tier 2.
- (A) Incomplete desk audit with absent or incomplete documentation to demonstrate federal requirements are being met.
- (B) This tier level requires responses to additional questions; and
(3) Tier 3.
- (A) High-risk audit with high-risk findings on the risk assessment.
- (B) This tier level includes investigation with a deeper look at federal requirements that are not being met along with a letter to the superintendent.
- (C) This tier level will be documented as a high-risk with the Department of Education Public School Accountability Office as an identified high-risk from another Department of Education division and may include an on-site visit.
