(b)

1. (1) A first-time license is effective from the first date issued through December 31 of the fourth full calendar year following the year of the issue date.
2. (2) The first year of a first-time license issued after January 1 of the calendar year shall expire on December 31 even if the first year is not a full calendar year.

(c) The addition of an endorsement, including an administrator’s license, licensure content area, or level of licensure to a license shall reflect the:

1. (1) Actual date of the addition; and
2. (2) Same expiration date as the licensee’s standard license.

(d) The renewal of a license, including all endorsements, licensure content areas, and levels of licensure for the license is effective:

1. (1) For a currently valid license, January 1 of the following year through December 31 of the fifth year from the expiration date of the existing license; or
2. (2) For licenses that are expired at the time of renewal, the date the expired license was renewed through December 31 of the fourth year from the year of renewal.

(e) A provisional license term:

1. (1) Is based on a school year;
2. (2) Is effective on the date of issuance stated on the license; and
3. (3) Expires on the last day of the provisional license period.
