- (a) A standard license, ancillary license, or technical permit is a renewable license, valid for a period of five (5) years.
(b)
- (1) A first-time license is effective from the first date issued through December 31 of the fourth full calendar year following the year of the issue date.
- (2) The first year of a first-time license issued after January 1 of the calendar year shall expire on December 31 even if the first year is not a full calendar year.
(c) The addition of an endorsement, including an administrator’s license, licensure content area, or level of licensure to a license shall reflect the:
- (1) Actual date of the addition; and
- (2) Same expiration date as the licensee’s standard license.
(d) The renewal of a license, including all endorsements, licensure content areas, and levels of licensure for the license is effective:
- (1) For a currently valid license, January 1 of the following year through December 31 of the fifth year from the expiration date of the existing license; or
- (2) For licenses that are expired at the time of renewal, the date the expired license was renewed through December 31 of the fourth year from the year of renewal.
(e) A provisional license term:
- (1) Is based on a school year;
- (2) Is effective on the date of issuance stated on the license; and
- (3) Expires on the last day of the provisional license period.
