An alternative provider educator preparation program that leads to first-time licensure in Arkansas at the post-baccalaureate level must meet the following requirements:
- (1) An Institution of Higher Education (IHE)-based Educator Preparation Provider (EPP) is considered eligible by the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education to provide professional education programs leading to educator licensure in Arkansas if it meets standards and requirements set forth in the Institutions of Higher Education Protocol for the Review and Approval of Programs of Study Leading to Educator Licensure in Arkansas; and
- (2) Non-IHE-based EPP is considered eligible by the division to provide professional education programs leading to educator licensure in Arkansas if it meets standards and requirements set forth in the Alternative Preparation Provider Protocol for the Review and Approval of Programs of Study Leading to Educator Licensure in Arkansas.
