(a) The Department of Education shall ensure that each teacher receives professional awareness on the following:

1. (1) The characteristics of dyslexia; and
2. (2) The evidence-based interventions and accommodations for dyslexia.

(b) Professional awareness may be provided:

1. (1) Online through ArkansasIDEAS;
2. (2) At an education service cooperative; or
3. (3) By a professional development provider approved by the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education.
