(a)
- (1) Each program shall have a plan for parent involvement that includes opportunities for parental input into program operation and design.
(2) Parent involvement plans shall include:
- (A) A mechanism for parental advice and review of programmatic plans;
- (B) Parent conferences; and
- (C) A method to involve the parent in the child’s educational experience.
(b)
- (1) The program shall have an open-door policy for parents that encourages visiting and participation in classroom activities.
- (2) Opportunities for at least two (2) parent-teacher conferences shall be given to parents.
- (c) The program shall publish and utilize a parent handbook that includes ABC requirements for the ABC Program.
(d)
- (1) Each program shall have a plan for community/, school district,/ education service cooperative,/ and agency involvement, which includes a description of how cooperation with other service providers who are concerned with the education, welfare, health, and safety needs of young children will be established and maintained.
- (2) Programs should consider providing opportunities for community representatives to participate in the educational activities of the classroom.
