Student-focused learning system
Arkansas Code § 6-11-105; Arkansas Code § 6-11-112; Arkansas Code § 6-15-2905
- (a) Public school districts shall implement a student-focused learning system designed to support and promote student success based on equity for all students through personalized learning.
- (b) A student-focused learning system considers, with the learner, various academic measures, personal competencies, interests, aptitudes, aspirations, and needs when designing learning opportunities.
(c)
- (1) Public schools shall use statewide student assessment data and multiple measures to identify students’ strengths and needs for achievement and academic growth.
(2) Multiple measures may include but are not limited to:
- (A) Attendance;
- (B) Grades;
- (C) Classwork;
- (D) Demonstration of competency;
- (E) Formative assessment data;
- (F) Teacher observations;
- (G) Interest surveys; or
- (H) Other measures that are used to personalize learning for students.
