As used in this subpart:

1. (1) “Department” means the Arkansas Department of Transportation;
2. (2) “General service signs” means official signs placed by the Arkansas Department of Transportation that are located within the right-of-way of a state highway providing motorist service information to the traveling public about eligible general services that are available in the bypassed community;

3. (3) “Motorist service” means commercial services consisting of:

   1. (A) Gas;
   2. (B) Food;
   3. (C) Lodging; and
   4. (D) Camping; and

4. (4)

   1. (A) “State highway” means a state highway that is constructed on a new location and bypasses a community that is located along the existing route.
   2. (B) “State highway” does not include the interstate or freeway highway systems, both of which are eligible for the Logo Signing Program.
