(a) As used in this subpart:
(1) “Agronomic crops” means the species in each of the following plant groupings belonging to the domain of agronomy:
- (A) Cereal or grain crops;
- (B) Grain legumes or pulses and oilseed crops for food, feed, or industrial use;
- (C) Pasture and forage crops;
- (D) Fiber crops;
- (E) Sugar crops; and
- (F) Starchy root and tuber crops;
(2)
- (A) “Horticultural crops” means:
(i) Vegetable crops;
(ii) Fruit crops;
(iii) Edible nuts;
- (iv) Other ornamental crops; and
- (v) Nursery crops.
- (B) In addition, the aromatic crops and the medicinal crops are included; and
(3) “Natural state” means unfinished or unprocessed agronomic or horticultural crops originating in Arkansas from the first point of severance to a point in the state at which they first undergo any:
- (A) Finishing;
- (B) Processing;
- (C) Preparation for processing;
- (D) Conversion; or
- (E) Transformation.
- (b) Agronomic and horticultural crops do not include timber or forestry products in any form.
