Drawing Numbers AD-1 through AD-5 illustrate the typical treatment which may be used on driveways.
The sketches contained in this part illustrate the freedom of design permitted by these rules which permit adequate access along with reasonable protection to the traveling public and patrons of roadside establishments. The Arkansas Department of Transportation does not design layouts for private property. However, these sketches are presented to illustrate the attractive and inviting appearance of such establishments when proper provisions are made for access.
Drive approach to highway provided at end of cut section giving a level approach with adequate vision.
Direct access on level areas where adequate vision exists is most desirable.
