27 CAR § 30-179 – Reinstatement from judgment after ten years

(a) It shall be the responsibility of the judgment creditor or his or her representative to file proof that a judgment has been renewed.
(b) If such proof of renewal is not received by the Office of Driver Services prior to the expiration of ten (10) years from the date judgment is rendered, then:
1. (1) The office shall assume that such renewal has not been perfected; and
2. (2) The person or persons affected by such judgment will have their motor vehicle registration and driving privilege reinstated.
(c) This section shall apply to any and all judgments on file with the office that are or will be unrenewed for a period of ten (10) years following the date such judgment was received.
