- (a) In any case, the presiding commissioner may direct the parties to appear for a conference.
(b) This conference may consider:
- (1) The simplification of issues;
- (2) The status of efforts to stipulate pursuant to 26 CAR § 411-403;
- (3) The necessity or desirability of amendments to the petition, answer, or reply;
- (4) The possibility of settlement;
- (5) The scheduling of the hearing and other case events or deadlines; and
- (6) Such other matters as may aid in the disposition of the action.
(c)
(1) After the conference, the presiding commissioner may make an order that:
- (A) Recites the action taken at the conference, any amendments allowed to the pleadings, and the agreements made by the parties as to any of the matters considered; and
- (B) Limits the issues for hearing to those not disposed of by stipulation or other agreement of the parties.
- (2) Such order, when entered, controls the subsequent course of the case, unless subsequently modified.
