(a)
- (1) The Division of State Services for the Blind will ensure that no qualified student with a disability is denied the benefit of preemployment transition services on the basis of the individual’s disability.
- (2) Therefore, if a student with a disability requires reasonable accommodations, auxiliary aids, or services to access or participate in any of the required preemployment transition services, the division may pay for such costs when no other public entity is required to provide such aid or service.
(b) Reasonable accommodations, aids, and services for students include:
- (1) Qualified readers;
- (2) Audio recordings;
- (3) Braille materials and displays;
- (4) Screen reader software;
- (5) Magnification software;
- (6) Large print materials;
- (7) Accessible electronic and information technology; and
- (8) Other effective methods of making visually delivered materials available to individuals who are blind or have low vision.
