Opportunities for Division of State Services for the Blind staff to provide informed choice as part of the rehabilitation counseling relationship include, but are not limited to:

1. (1) Informing each individual about the availability of and opportunities to exercise informed choice;
2. (2) Assisting potentially eligible and eligible students in exercising informed choice in decisions related to the provision of preemployment transition services;
3. (3) Assisting individuals in exercising informed choice in decisions related to the provision of assessment services; and

4. (4) Assisting individuals in exercising informed choice in the development and any subsequent amendment of their IPE in the areas of:

   1. (A) Employment goal;
   2. (B) Specific vocational rehabilitation services needed to achieve the employment goal;
   3. (C) Who will provide the services;
   4. (D) Employment setting and the settings in which the services will be provided; and
   5. (E) Methods for getting and paying for the services.

Codification Notes: “IPE” means individualized plan for employment.
