(a)
- (1) Division of State Services for the Blind staff will keep current in their knowledge of state and federal laws that affect consumers.
- (2) Division staff must comply with all state and federal laws, rules, and regulations, including state purchasing requirements.
(b)
- (1) Division staff who have reasonable cause to believe a child, elderly person, or person with a disability is being abused, neglected, or exploited are mandatory reporters and shall report the information.
- (2) For individuals in a facility, the incident is to be reported to the authority having responsibility for the facility.
(3)
- (A) For other situations, the local office of Adult Protective Services (State Abuse Hotline 1-800-482-8049) will be notified if the individual is an adult.
- (B) If the individual is a child, then Child Protective Services (Child Abuse Hotline 1-800-482-5964) will be notified.
