(a)
- (1) Each LEC shall perform emergency repair service.
- (2) The LEC shall take into account both the needs of the customer and the safety of personnel.
(b)
- (1) Each LEC shall list in each directory covering any area it serves an emergency repair service number where a customer may call toll free.
- (2) Collect calls accepted by the LEC are considered to be toll-free calls.
(3) The emergency number shall:
- (A) Be manned twenty-four (24) hours a day; or
- (B) Have a recording or answering service directing the caller to a number manned twenty-four (24) hours a day.
