(a)
- (1) An LEC must notify a customer in writing five (5) days before it suspends service.
- (2) If an LEC delivers the notice to the customer’s premises, the LEC must leave the notice in a conspicuous place where the notice is easy to see.
- (3) If the notice is mailed, the five (5) days begins three (3) days after the date the notice is placed in the United States mail.
- (4) The LEC must send the notice to the customer’s last known address by first-class mail.
(b)
- (1) An LEC may suspend service without prior written notice under 23 CAR § 466-601(4), (6), (7), (14) – (16), and (18).
- (2) The LEC shall notify the customer of the reason for suspension by first-class mail or by leaving a notice at the premises.
- (3) If prior written notice of suspension has been given, this subsection does not apply.
