(a)

1. (1) Fire pump installation, inspection, or testing must be performed or officially supervised by a certified fire protection sprinkler system firm using properly licensed employees.
2. (2) A firm may use a distributor or manufacturer’s representative to perform these services as long as the representative is supervised by a certified firm.

(b)

1. (1) Once the fire pump inspection, installation, and testing is completed, an AFSA or National Fire Sprinkler Association form shall be completed.

2. (2)

   1. (A) An inspection report shall be retained on file by the firm, and a copy shall be furnished to the owner, occupant, or other designated responsible person.
   2. (B) If the system requires a yellow or red tag, the report shall be filed with the AHJ.
