- (a) School-age children shall be provided with a choice of indoor and outdoor activities.
(b)
- (1) A quiet time and a private place with appropriate equipment shall be provided for one-person activities, including resting and homework.
- (2) A supervised rest period, as required by 20 CAR § 476-401(c), does not apply to school-age children.
(c)
- (1) Permission from parents shall be on file for school-age children to leave the home.
(2) School-age children who leave the home to participate in classes, clubs, or other activities shall have:
- (A) Written permission from the parents naming the activity;
- (B) A time of leaving and returning; and
- (C) A method of transportation to the activity.
- (3) Permission for regularly scheduled activities such as scouting may be given for the entire school term.
