20 CAR § 1025-405 – Student observers

(a)
1. (1) Students visiting the center on a regular or periodic basis to observe classroom activities, or for similar purposes, shall not:
  1. (A) Be counted in the staff-to-child ratio;
  2. (B) Have disciplinary control over children; and
  3. (C) Be left alone with children.
2. (2) These individuals shall have a Child Maltreatment Central Registry check on file.
(b) Students who are conducting practicum, student teaching, or working in the same capacity as a staff member or volunteer must meet the criteria in the appropriate section (20 CAR §§ 1025-403 and 1025-404).
