For purposes of this part, the following definitions apply:
(1) “Activities of daily living (ADLs)” means the basic tasks of everyday life, including:
- (A) Eating;
- (B) Communication;
- (C) Dressing;
- (D) Mobility;
- (E) Bathing; and
- (F) Toileting;
(2)
- (A) “Children with Chronic Health Conditions Program (CHC)” means Arkansas’s program for CSHCN funded by the Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant.
- (B) CHC is housed within the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services in the Department of Human Services; and
- (3) “Children with special health care needs (CSHCN)” is broadly defined by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau as those that “have or are at increased risk for chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional conditions and who also require health and related services of a type or amount beyond that required by children generally”.
