1. (a) The countable resource limit for all family sizes is three thousand dollars ($3,000).

2. (b)

   1. (1) The resources of all persons included in the assistance unit must be determined.

   2. (2) This includes all:

      1. (A) Adults;
      2. (B) Children; and
      3. (C) Minor parents.
   3. (3) In addition, the resources of a non-Supplemental Security Income parent or stepparent living in the home are always considered in determining the children’s/stepchildren’s eligibility even if such parent or stepparent is not included in the unit as an eligible member.
3. (c) Certain types of resources, specified in 20 CAR § 502-420, are not counted in determining the family’s resource eligibility.

4. (d)

   1. (1) Resource eligibility is determined as of the first day of a calendar month.
   2. (2) If the countable resources are equal to or less than three thousand dollars ($3,000) on the first day of the month, then the family is resource eligible for the entire month even if the resource value increases and exceeds the limit later in the month.
