1. (a) A good cause claim may be substantiated by:

   1. (1) Evidence that corroborates the claim;
   2. (2) An investigation conducted by the county office when the basis of the claim is anticipated physical harm and no corroborative evidence is available; or
   3. (3) Both corroborative evidence and an investigation.
2. (b) It is the responsibility of the casehead to provide corroborative evidence and, if the county office determines that an investigation is necessary, to provide sufficient information to enable such investigation.

3. (c)

   1. (1) The county office will, upon request, advise the casehead how to obtain the necessary documents and make a reasonable effort to obtain any specific documents that the casehead is not able to obtain without assistance.
   2. (2) Such requests will be documented on Form DCO-105.
