1. (a)

   1. (1) Transitional employment assistance (TEA) records will be purged when the case has been closed continuously for five (5) years unless an audit is being conducted at that time or there is an outstanding overpayment claim.
   2. (2) In this context, “case closure” refers to the closure of the case for purposes of Transitional Employment Assistance Program services, including extended support services, and therefore does not refer to closure of the cash assistance aspect of the case.

2. (b)

   1. (1) The five-year timeframe will apply to cases in which the adult’s lifetime maximum period to receive TEA benefits has been reached.
   2. (2) This is to ensure case record information is available should an audit be conducted on the case during those five (5) years following closure.
