(a) The Arkansas Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program shall:
- (1) Support the development of resident and family councils in long-term care facilities;
- (2) Provide technical support to resident and family councils;
- (3) Respond to questions and provide literature and assistance relating to resident and family councils; and
(4) Inform the leadership and/or membership of resident and family councils about the:
- (A) Purpose of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program;
- (B) Availability of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program to assist resident and family councils; and
- (C) Topics the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is prepared to present if requested.
- (b) Ombudsman representatives shall make every effort to be present at resident and family council meetings, when invited.
- (c) The Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman shall provide technical assistance to regional programs to promote the development of resident and family councils.
